Comparison
TodoCity vs Apple Reminders
Apple Reminders is free and on every Apple device; TodoCity is a Mac app for people who want more: tasks from any copied text with on-device AI, projects with sections, separate deadlines, a calendar with hours to plan on, and modes for work and personal. You don't have to choose — TodoCity can sync both ways with a Reminders list, so your tasks also show on your iPhone.

Using both: two-way Reminders sync
In Settings → Connectors → Apple Reminders, pick a list. Tasks you add in either app appear in the other, and ticking one off ticks off both. It's off until you turn it on.
If the list you pick is stored in iCloud, those tasks travel through iCloud — TodoCity warns you first. Pick an “On My Mac” list to keep them fully local.
